The plot is well arranged: A successful and renowned international conductor failed to reach his life aspiration being far too ambitious. Just in few minutes we learn about bad management, fame, and its potential consequences. After suffering a heart attack, he is ordered to retire, moving to the village of his not so happy childhood.
The War of the Roses from 1989 is an American black comedy film based upon the novel with same name. The film follows a wealthy couple with a seemingly perfect marriage. When their marriage begins to fall apart, material possessions become the center of an outrageous and bitter divorce battle.
