Training by movie Star (3): As it is in Heaven
The plot is well arranged: A successful and renowned international conductor failed to reach his life aspiration being far too ambitious. Just in few minutes we learn about bad management, fame, and its potential consequences. After suffering a heart attack, he is ordered to retire, moving to the village of his not so happy childhood. He, appearing in the village, causes changes, cascades of changes, and he gets changed, too. The actors are outstanding, and even the supporting roles play with quite incredible love to their role.
There´s no better movie I know about the power of change, and what all can happen in a somewhat balanced society, when someone enters the stage, and just by being there starts to change. This movie is telling about people, societies, patterns, written and even more unwritten rules and what may happen if some fresh air gets in.
If you want to learn about change – this will be an Oscar nominated film providing excellent training. I know one consulting company using this movie to train C-level executives. All my students at Hochschule Fresenius in the master studies of business chemistry during the class “Change Management” had to see it. I heard sometimes comments why should be watch a movie together, but after this movie and the discussion no-one spoke about wasted time.
Our life is full of change, and we change every single day. Feel inspired watching.
