The Employee Dilemma
Employees join a company. When you enter the first company or organization after your training, you are somehow in honeymoon. The stories on the internet are great, it is the best place to work on our planet, and whatever triggers you emotion is triggered. You expect what you have been told comes true, and you want to become a great employee soon.
The reality check may look different. Unclear tasks, unclear instructions, a formal onboarding process, no one has time to provide a proper training, the days are flying by, and your contribution could be better. The honeymoon may end in a hangover. Then the pressure starts to hammer, you may wonder why you ever joined this non-existing team. And you may decide to leave. Employees join a company but leave a manager. But wait – it´s a bit easy to blame the manager for the individual performance. Ask yourself what your contribution to the situation is. There´s always a part in your behavior, habits, actions that triggers developments as well.
If one studies the 5P Principle, there are quite a lot of elements which depend on the performance of individuals and groups. Everybody contributes, please do not expect to sit on the fence and watch the others dancing. Feel invited to talk.
