The Change Dilemma
Change Managers are often in an interesting position – hired to bring change to an organization, but the organization may not be ready: If the organization is close to bankruptcy, there is a sense or urgency cross all levels. As long as the organization is profitable, the will to change is quite limited. Organizations that ask for change or they failed in the past to work on constant improvement, even they may claim to have it.
Chang is the only constant in our life: We all started as an orgasm and have been the winners of a race. The next nine months we spend in a warm shelter – why should be change? After our birth we had to learn to survive and will continue change. We still change while getting older, and even after our death we will continue to change. Did you know that we all “own” water pre-owned by a person like Cleopatra? Around 32.000 water molecules you have in your body have been with her, too. We all have a nice collection of recycled water from kings, heroes, poets, murderers, idiots. What we make out of it matters.
If we accept, we are subject of constant change, why shouldn´t we be surrounded by a world in and of constant change? We are, and often we do not understand the principles and rules. It may be easier than you believe, but there are some fundamentals to understand, and there is no one-size-fits-all situation. Even change is subject of constant change.
