Macbeth
All nations of this planet are aware of dramas. Some of the dramas survived centuries and became tales in societies. Societies around the globe have tales about relevant events indicating patterns of acting people. In Europe, dramas who survived centuries have been written by William Shakespeare, one of the best known is Macbeth. In his work he was analyzing the forces of human sadness and the depth of human malice.
A brave Scottish general named Macbeth receives a prophecy that one day he will become King of Scotland. Pushed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and Paranoia. Forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself, he soon becomes a Tyran. The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly take Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of madness and death.
Why to name a shoe after him remains the secret of some marketing people, and may indicate a certain innocence of consumers…
We may know one of the other person in business who is acting in a Shakespearian way. We may have witnessed people being murdered from behind. We may have seen the wrong people leaving an organization, and the wrong people being promoted. And we have seen the right people making a difference, improving organizations. It comes down to leadership and to whom we promote. A promotion is always an experiment, and we will learn later whether it goes well.
