Conflicts (Part 7) – and now?
In the last weeks for most of you, I could just refresh the memories of trainings passed long time ago. When we look to the actual situation on this planet, we see in how many conflicts we are involved. Chaos theory taught us that even a little event can contribute to a great disaster. Now, what does it mean?
During the last decades I had the pleasure to travel this planet. I was exposed to various cultures, got the chance to see places on countryside and in mega cities, to talk to poor people, people of average and above median wealth to some incredible wealthy people. They had all some same aspiration in common: All have been curious about the stranger. They have been willing to share perspectives, and some have even been interested to listen. All wanted for their families a shelter at home, a safe place. All wanted for the next generation the chance to live and ideally to have resources to build on. All wanted to live in peace. Most have been generous to the foreigner sharing time, food, and perspectives. Most have been respectful as they expected in return respect.
There is a lot to build on. It became difficult when politics or religion became dominating. In a world where during my lifetime the population went from below 3 bn people to more than 8 bn people today and expected more than 10 bn in short time, the tasks are big, and resources limited just to provide food. Even such figure bear enough conflict potential. From time to time, it might be relevant to remind us that our life is not endless, and even the concept of states is rather new for humans. To work on answers to actual and future challenges is what we will have to continue as we did in the last centuries. There may be different perspectives on the same challenges, and we see it in the actual politics. However, if we want to live in a WIN-WIN-situation, we have work to do.
Change and innovation will be the key components to a great future. Feel invited to ask for support if you like.
